My idea is to use the OT and the DT in this way: Digitakt: percussive patterns OT: loop player / long files / textures / synth loops. Additionally, the Octatrack is capable of both pitch shifting and time stretching audio while the Digitakt can only manipulate the playback rate I'm an OT owner, I'll take the digitakt for sure. On the other hand Digitakt, which Elektron is describing more as a sequence generator rather than an all-in-one performance machine, has its own unique character to which those limitations add a certain personality Something special about the Octatrack, a feature that the Digitakt lacks, is that it can process live audio - a helpful tool in generating new ideas as well as improvising during a live performance. Based on the result it is clear that Octatrack is definitely the deeper box and it allow you to pre-load more materials.
